Terms of Service

Cooliving is a co-living matching platform that helps people find compatible roommates and shared housing through profile information, preferences and a compatibility-based recommendation system. We do not act as a landlord, real-estate agent or housing provider; we facilitate connections between users.

This service is intended only for users aged 18 or older. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher). Accounts found to belong to minors will be removed.

• Accurate information — you must provide truthful, up-to-date information about yourself, including identity, age, photos, location and preferences.
• Respectful behavior — interact with other users politely and in good faith. Treat conversations and meetings with the same respect you would expect for yourself.
• Account security — keep your credentials confidential and notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Users are solely responsible for their own behavior, communications and interactions on and off the platform. Cooliving facilitates introductions but does not control what users say or do.

• We do not guarantee the accuracy of user profiles, including identity, photos, occupation, budget or any other information provided by users — even when verification features are used.
• Cooliving is not responsible for the actions or omissions of any user.
• Cooliving is not responsible for offline interactions, meetings or anything that happens outside the platform.
• Cooliving is not a party to any agreement, lease, payment or arrangement made between users, and is not responsible for disputes that arise from them.

You should always exercise caution, verify information independently, and use common sense when meeting or transacting with other users.

The following actions are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate action:

• Scams or fraud — including fake listings, deposit fraud, phishing or any deceptive practice.
• Harassment — threats, hate speech, sexual harassment, stalking or any form of abusive behavior.
• Fake profiles — impersonation, stolen photos, bots or misleading identities.
• Misuse of the platform — using Cooliving for purposes unrelated to roommate matching, including unsolicited advertising, soliciting paid services, scraping data or attempting to bypass security.
• Illegal activity — any conduct that violates applicable laws or regulations.

We reserve the right to suspend, restrict or permanently ban accounts that violate these Terms, harm other users or compromise the integrity of the platform. We may take action with or without prior notice, at our sole discretion. Reported users are reviewed and may be removed if our investigation confirms a violation.

You may stop using Cooliving and delete your account at any time from the Profile page.

You retain ownership of the content you upload (photos, descriptions, messages). By posting content, you grant Cooliving a limited, non-exclusive license to display and process it solely for the purpose of operating the service. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights to any content you upload.

Cooliving is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that you will find a roommate or that other users are who they claim to be, even when verification features are used. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, including any meetings, agreements, payments or living arrangements.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cooliving and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, interactions with other users, or any housing arrangement made through it.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via the platform or email. Continued use of Cooliving after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
